2020 Merlot

Vineyard Information:

Trinity Oaks 2020 Merlot was sourced from premier California vineyards in Lodi-Delta and coastal counties that use sustainable growing practices. Cover crops like flowers, oats, and barley are grown between the grape vines to naturally enrich the soil, boosting ripeness within the fruit. The cover crops also lure beneficial insects to the area, protecting the vines from predators.

Winemaking:

The wine was aged in American and French oak uprights to add texture and roundness. 70% infused with French oak staves.

Tasting Notes:

Aromas of luscious black plum lead to juicy red cherry flavors complemented by notes of herbal spice, tea and vanilla. Medium-bodied with a lingering finish, and pairs well with spaghetti or mushroom risotto.
